Romania’s national highways authority selects builders of Sebes-Turda highway

The Romanian National Company for Motorways and National Roads (CNADNR) selected Romanian, Italian and Austrian construction companies to build the 70-kilometer highway between Sebes and Turda.

The Italian association Impregilo - Salini was selected to build the first segment of 17 kilometers, while the second one, with a length of 24.2 kilometers, will be designed and built by the association of Romanian and Italian firms RCM Construzioni/ Imob Lux Construct /Consinit /Societatea de Constructii Napoca/ Impresa Ferrara S.N.C Di Angela & Rossella Ferrara/ T Dancor RomConstruct / Shelter Construct/ Associazione Cooperativa Muratori & Affini Ravenna/ Schiavo & C/Eurocerad International, according to local news agency Mediafax.

The third segment of 12.4 kilometers was awarded to the Italian association Tirrena Scavi - Societa Italiana per Condotte d’Acqua, and the last segment will be built by Austrian PORR Construct - PORR Bau.

The price per kilometer will be EUR 6 million.

The works will be financed from European funds (85 percent) and money from the state budget.
