Romania's National Highways Company returns to Transport Ministry

17 December 2014

Romania's National Company for Highways (CNADNR) will return to the Ministry of Transport, said yesterday Alexandru Nastase, head of the Department for Infrastructure Projects and Foreign Investments, the institution that is currently coordinating the CNADNR activity, reports local Mediafax.

CNADNR worked within the Transport Ministry until January 2013.

More highway kilometers will be completed next year compared to 2014, Alexandru Nastase said during the hearings of the specialized committees in the Parliament for the 2015 CNADNR budget, but he didn't give any specific figure to this end.

The CNADNR data previously submitted to the press agency Mediafax show that for the next year Romania plans to open 17 km of highway, compared to 56 km in 2014.
