Romanian oil & gas company OMV Petrom, part of Austrian group OMV, made a net profit of EUR 543 million in the first nine months of this year, 34% lower compared to the same period of 2013. The group’s consolidated sales were down by 11%, to EUR 3.65 billion, according to Petrom’s financial report.

In the third quarter, Petrom’s sales declined by 17%, to EUR 1.24 billion, while net profit went down by 20%, to EUR 231 million.
