Romania’s roads authority plans to build 93 km of highway this year and 195 km in 2015
The Romanian National Company for Motorways and National Roads (CNADNR) wants to complete 93.1 km of highway this year, with a budget of RON 2.65 billion (some EUR 590 million), lower than the year before, reports local Mediafax.
In 2015, CNADNR expects to be built a total of 194.8 km, the projected budget being of RON 3.96 billion (over EUR 881 million).
Last year, the company had a budget of RON 3.76 billion (EUR 852 million) for highways, and inaugurated a total of 116 km.
This year, CNADNR plans to inaugurate lots 1 and 2 of the Nadlac - Arad highway, lot 2 of Timisoara - Lugoj, lot 3 of Orastie - Sibiu, and a 6.5 km segment of the Bucharest-Ploiesti highway, reports Mediafax.
Next year, CNADNR intends to build lots 2, 3 and 4 of Lugoj - Deva, the four lots of Sebes - Turda, and lots 1, 2 and 3 of Campia Turzii - Ogra - Targu Mures.
In terms of financing, this year Nadlac - Arad will benefit from a budget of RON 359.9 million (some EUR 80 million), Timisoara - Lugoj - RON 251.7 million (EUR 56 million), Lugoj - Deva - RON 333.7 million (EUR 74 million), Orastie - Sibiu - RON 285.6 million (EUR 63 million), Sebes - Turda - RON 290.8 million (EUR 64 million), Brasov - Cluj - Bors - RON 256.5 million (EUR 57 million), and Bucharest - Brasov - RON 429 million (over EUR 95 million).
