Romanian landline telecom operator Romtelecom has launched an online shop selling various products, from IT&C, home equipments, sports and lifestyle. The online shop, called clickshop.ro, is managed by Romtelecom and has been developed by Deutsche Telekom, based on a similar model of an online shop that the German group already runs.

This is the second online product launched by Romtelecom this year, after having launched the DolceTV online platform which offers movies, life TV shows and sports video content. This year, Romtelecom bought Boom TV platform, as well as Akta Satelit service in Romania.

Romtelecom posted a profit after taxes of EUR 154.7 million last year, down 38.7 percent on 2009, due to difficult market conditions. The company’s revenues were also down 8.4 percent, to EUR 716 million.
