Revenues from services on the telecom market in Romania reached USD 3 billion in 2016, and will increase on average by 4.1% per year in the next five years, according to a report of Pyramid Research.

According to this scenario, the revenues from services on the local telecom market would reach USD 3.7 billion in 2021. The main drivers of growth during this period will be the mobile internet and the pay TV services.

The revenues from mobile services will represent 61.9% of the market in five years, according to estimates of Pyramid Research. Operators will focus on the development of fixed-mobile bundled services to improve the average revenue per user indicator and to persuade customers to subscribe to full packages.

Investments in mobile data networks and optical fiber networks will continue at a fast pace and will generate new opportunities for growth, according to Pyramid Research experts.
