Romania’s Tourism Authority pays EUR 8 mln this year for tourism promotion
Romania’s National Authority for Tourism (ANT) will allocate this year nearly EUR 8 million from EU funds for tourism promotion. The money will be spent on outdoor advertising and the country’s participation in tourism fairs abroad.
The government’s budget for tourism promotion amounts to EUR 110,000.
ANT wants to participate in 45 exhibitions this year, reports local Mediafax. Half of them have already taken place.
Moreover, Romania wants to open a new tourism promotion office in Beijing, China. Its functioning requires EUR 50,000 in 2015. Romania has nine tourism promotion offices abroad, located in Austria, France, Italy, Germany, UK, Poland, Russia, Spain and the US.
