The commercial exchanges between Romania and Germany exceeded EUR 24 billion in the first eleven months of 2016, up 13% compared to the previous year.

This represented 20% of Romania’s foreign trade, according to the Romanian-German Trade and Industry Chamber (AHK).

About 8,000 companies with German capital are active in Romania, and employ over 250,000 people. The German foreign direct investment in Romania reached a balance of EUR 8 billion last year.

German investors are interested in judicial stability, the predictability of economic and political decisions, and stable economic frameworks agreements. They also appreciate the anticorruption fight in Romania.

AHK Romania, set up in 2002, includes more than 550 member companies. It offers the companies a platform for networking and information exchange.
