Romania’s Transylvania included in National Geographic’s Top 10 Places to See Autumn Leaves
The National Geographic has recently made a list of Top 10 Places to See Autumn Leaves, which also includes Romania’s central region Transylvania.
“Autumn breaks Count Dracula’s spell in Transylvania, a place steeped in legend and imagery of sepia-toned medieval castles and hazy moonlight. Challenge yourself on the Transfagarasan, a 56-mile (90 km) drive through the Fagaras Mountains full of 90-degree turns, hairpin curves, and spectacular vistas of autumn’s finest foliage,” writes National Geographic.
The list opens with Sonoma County in California and continues, in order, with Northern New Mexico, Holmes County in Ohio, Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec (Canada), Douro Valley in Portugal, Bavaria in Germany, Transylvania in Romania, Moscow in Russia, Jiuzhaigou Valley, Sichuan Province in China and Kyoto in Japan.
