The salary of a university teacher could go up to EUR 1,780, whereas a pre-university teacher with a seniority of 40 years could make up to EUR 1,000 monthly, according to a draft proposal of the new wage law.

A specialist physician could receive a salary of up to EUR 1,000, whereas a resident doctor would be paid up to EUR 770, reports local Mediafax. The manager of a hospital with over 400 beds could win up to EUR 2,242.

A veterinary doctor could receive a salary of up to EUR 1,280, whereas a veterinary assistant could get a monthly salary of up to EUR 562.

A skilled worker’s salary could amount up to EUR 392, whereas an unskilled worker could win up to EUR 351.

The new wage law would apply to all public employees once it is approved. The draft also sets a maximum gap of 1 to 18 between the lowest and the highest salary in the public system.
