Romania's wholesale trade turnover, slowest growth pace in last six months
Romania’s wholesale trade turnover, which is an important indicator for companies in the trade sector, rose by 4.7% in July compared to the same month in 2015.
It was the slowest growth pace in the last six months, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INS).
A slower growth pace than in July was recorded only in January, when the wholesale trade turnover went up by 2.1% compared to January 2015. By comparison, the turnover in the wholesale trade recorded an annual growth of 6.3% in June.
In July, the increase was mainly supported by the trade with machinery and agricultural products. The wholesale trade with machinery went up by 34.3% in July compared to the same month last year.
