Medical group Romgermed has opened its 18th lab, following an investment of EUR 500,000 in Bucharest. It can provide analysts for around 1,000 patients a day. The new center, on some 500 sqm, employees 45 specialist doctors, biologists, chemists, bio-chemists and nurses.

Romgermed is also working on a 250-bed hospital in Bucharest, on Calea Plevnei, which should be ready at the end of 2012, following investments of EUR 20 million.

The company had a turnover of EUR 14 million last year and was hoping at the beginning of the year to grow it by 40 percent this year, after openings new labs and imaginery and dialisis centers.
