Romtelecom, Cosmote win EUR 83 mln bid for telecom network in disadvantaged Romanian areas
The Romanian Ministry for Information Society has awarded Romtelecom and Cosmote a contract worth some EUR 83 million to build a telecom network in Romania’s disadvantaged areas.
The associations Direct One-Electrogrup and UPC Romania-Deloitte Audit-Connection Consulting also submitted offers at this auction, reports local Mediafax.
Romtelecom will provide the design, construction and operation of broadband communications infrastructure in regions 1, 2 and 3 for some EUR 35.6 million, VAT included.
Cosmote Romania will provide the design, construction and operation of broadband communications infrastructure in regions 4, 5, 6 and 7, for some EUR 47.5 million, VAT included.
The network is to be completed by 2015.
