Ropharma expects higher profit and plans investments of EUR 1.6 mln this year
Pharmaceutical company Ropharma Brasov, controlled by Romanian businessman Mihai Miron, expects to up profit by a quarter this year to RON 9 million (some EUR 2 million), and also increase sales by 5 percent.
Last year, the company’s sales went slightly up to RON 411.2 million (EUR 93 million), while the profit increased by 3 percent, to RON 7.2 million (EUR 1.6 million).
For this year, the company plans investments of some RON 7.2 million, half of the amount to be used for acquiring licenses for pharmacies, reports local Dailybusiness.ro. Ropharma also plans to launch 13 new products.
The company ranks eighth among national pharmaceutical distributors, with a market share of 3.3 percent, while on the retail segment it ranks fifth. Ropharma has over 900 employees.
