Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice back to Romania next year
The famous group Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice will return to Bucharest with the show "The Nutcracker" by P. Tchaikovsky, on January 19, 2012 at the Palace Hall (Sala Palatului - 28, Ion Campineanu St.). The ballter group has performed in Romania before on several occasions.
The Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice was founded in 1967 by choreographer Konstantin Boyarsky. The ballet is headed by its artistic director, former soloist of the world-famous Mariinsky Ballet, Konstantin Rassadin. He participated in the performances jointly with Mikhail Baryshnikov and Natalia Makarova. The musical director and one of the co-founders of the Ballet is Leo Korkhin.
Since 1995 the Saint Petersburg Ballet on Ice has been performing on stage of opera theaters. It shows the most famous ballets by P.Tchaikovsky, like "Sleeping Beauty", "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker" and "Cinderella" ballet by S.Prokofiev. For the last five years these productions have been performed on the best stages of the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, China, Spain, Korea, Taiwan, Greece, Portugal, Ireland.
Tickets for this performance in Bucharest can be purchased for prices between RON 50 and RON 300 from Biletoo Store in Unirea Shopping Center, Adevarul and Eminescu bookshops, Diverta, Flanco, Victoria and Muzica stores, Sala Palatului and Palatul National al Copiilor.
