Sales of Romania’s Dacia in the UK, more than doubled in first four months
Romanian carmaker Dacia, owned by French Renault, more than doubled its sales in the UK in the first four months, to 8,800 cars, the biggest increase in an overall market that grew 12.54 percent.
Dacia’s market share increased in January-April to 1.02 percent, from 0.52 percent a year before, according to data from the British Automobile Manufacturers Association, quoted by Mediafax.
In April, Dacia sales decreased by 1.84 percent to 1,979 cars, and the market share decreased slightly to 1.12 percent, from 1.23 percent.
Renault sales in the UK grew by 65.1 percent in the first four months, to over 21,100 cars, while the market share also increased to 2.44 percent.
