Samsung opens group service center in Bucharest
The Romanian subsidiary of the South-Korean tech group Samsung opened a service center in Bucharest last year that will provide services to the group’s subsidiaries in 30 European countries.
It will offer support services in sectors such as customer support, human resources, finance, according to a decision made by shareholders in mid-2016 and recently published in Romania’s Official Gazette, writes local Ziarul Financiar. Korean Kim Wonsok, 51, will manage this business line, according to the same document.
Samsung is the leader on the local smartphone market based on the number of units delivered in 2016. Samsung Electronics Romania had sales of EUR 744 million and a net profit of EUR 13.5 million in 2015, according to official data from the Finance Ministry.
