SAP Romania aims to reach 500 employees by year-end

SAP Romania, the local subsidiary of the German business software producer, will have 500 employees by the end of the year, up from 400 employees now, said Cristian Popescu, SAP Romania’s new managing director.

The company will recruit more people in all the three centers it has in Romania, namely in Bucharest, Timisoara, and Cluj-Napoca, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

Cristian Popescu, the former head of Fujitsu Romania, took over as head of SAP Romania two months ago. He replaced Mihai Oros, who had been appointed in the office at the beginning of this year.

Popescu graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Bucharest Polytechnic University.

SAP Romania posted a turnover of EUR 41.4 million last year, up 6% over the previous year. Its net profit rose by 33% to almost EUR 10 million.
