Polish Scallier extends retail park network in Romania with a new opening in Vaslui
Polish developer Scallier inaugurated a 10,000 sqm retail park in Vaslui, eastern Romania, on May 31. This is the company’s fifth such property in the country, adding up to a total volume of over 40,000 sqm developed on the local market.
The developer said it plans more investments in Romania. The next Scallier retail park is scheduled to open this autumn in Mosnita.
“The park in Vaslui is the fifth facility that we have opened over the last several months, and we are seeing a lot of interest in renting modern space in all our locations,” said Wojciech Jurga, Managing Partner at Scallier responsible for the company’s development on the Romanian market.
“So far, we have built, commercialized, and opened retail parks in Rosiorii de Vede, Focsani, Timisoara, and Turda. After the retail park in Vaslui, it will be time for the opening of the facility in Mosnita, which is planned for autumn this year. We have already secured further locations, and the construction of other facilities will soon start,” he added.
Some of the tenants of the new retail park in Vaslui include Sinsay, New Yorker, Hervis, DM, Pepco, TEDi, Sportissimo, ZOO Center, KiK, Carturesti bookstore, and a large local restaurant - Pizzeria Rimini. The company said that a FryDay restaurant will also open at the end of the year.
Scallier, a developer and asset manager of commercial real estate, specializes in retail parks and other smaller compact retail formats. It has been active since 2011 and is developing its operations in Poland and other European countries.
