Selgros restarts expansion in Romania with new store format
Local retailer Selgros Cash&Carry Romania has bought a plot in the center of Targu Mures, where it will open a new store this summer.
The company already has a unit in the city. The new store will be under a new and smaller format and will have a sale area of 4,000 sqm. The company will concentrate on the food sector whereas the non-food range will be smaller.
Selgros has 19 stores in various cities in Romania. The retailer last opened a store in Constanta in 2011 following an investment of EUR 20 million.
The company’s turnover reached EUR 617 million in 2014.
