Several of Romania’s Tarom internal flights get cancelled due to employee protests
Six flights operated by Romanian state owned airline Tarom were canceled on Monday morning and others were delayed, due to a spontaneous protest of the company’s pilots.
Tarom’s internal flights to Oradea, Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Iasi and one of the flights to Cluj-Napoca were canceled, according to an announcement from the company. The company’s flight to Budapest was also canceled. Another internal flight to Cluj-Napoca was also delayed by several hours.
“The external flights are going according to schedule. We are making efforts to operate the internal flights as well,” said a spokesman for Tarom, quoted by Digi 24 news station.
Passengers whose flights were canceled were directed to the company’s ticketing office to get their money back or to be booked on other flights, if this is possible.
Two flights from Bucharest to Paris, which are operated by Air France are also canceled due to a strike of the French company’s employees.
