Slovenian online shipping center enters Romanian market
Eurosender, an online booking platform for shipping various items from one EU country to another, which was founded in Slovenia, has launched its operations in Romania. It plans to reach an average of 3,500 orders per month in 2016, with an average order value of EUR 45.
The company targets abroad students and workers, and their relatives. In the B2B segment, Eurosender focuses on small and middle size companies which use shipping services on a regular basis as well as companies that send few parcels and don’t have the power to negotiate lower fees with couriers. It expects to reach a portfolio of 2,500 small and medium companies next year.
“Over the next 3 years, our objective is to become the largest company which offers logistical services through online orders on the local market,” said Gabriela-Mihaela Buzoianu, Country Manager Eurosender Romania.
The platform collaborates with courier companies DPD and GLS. Basically, Eurosender operates as an intermediary which takes orders online and then finds a company which will carry out the transport.
