Small and medium companies in Romania can access EUR 200 mln state aid
Small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to access a state aid scheme worth RON 900 million (EUR 202 million), according to the Government.
The new multiannual state aid scheme for SMEs was approved yesterday via a memorandum.
The support is awarded via grants for reimbursing the expenses related to the initial investments. Several investment projects, which are worth EUR 1-10 million, will be able to grow due to this program, said the Economy Minister Costin Borc.
The state aid support scheme is a multiannual program, valid until 2020. It is financed from the state budget. Beneficiaries are selected on an annual basis, within the limits of the budget allocated by law.
The scheme will be become active in October this year. The payments will be made between 2017 and 2023.
