Some 114 illegal workers found in Romania in one week
Romania’s Labor Inspection applied fines of over EUR 340,000 last week and found 114 people working without legal forms, following the searches carried out between August 10 and 14. Some 23 of these were working in the Constanta county.
The inspectors filed nine requests for criminal investigation for the companies which employed more than five people without a work contract, reports local Wall-street.ro. They sanctioned 271 employers.
During the same period, the Labor Inspection applied fines of almost EUR 100,000 for security and health at work breaches.
Last year, labor inspectors found over 14,000 people who worked illegally and imposed fines of over EUR 13.9 million.
