SoNoRo chamber music festival organizes fifth edition under masked ball motif

International Chamber Music Festival SoNoRo will take place between October 31st and November 14 in Bucharest, Iasi and Cluj – Napoca, with this year's edition organized under the 'Masked Ball' motif.  The festival will gather over 30 international artists, who will perform in 14 concerts. Nine of these concerts will take place in Bucharest, one in Iasi and four in Cluj – Napoca. The premiere concert in Bucharest will be organized in Unirii Hall in Cotroceni Palace. This is the fifth edition of the event.

Frederic Chopin and Robert Schumann's creations will be core of the event, due to the celebration of 200 years from their birth.

The carnival motif will be featured in the photo exhibition signed by Hiroshi Watanabe and Dragos Lumpan, as well as in the video and film screenings which will be included in the festival.

The concerts will be organized at the Cotroceni Palace, the Military Circle Palace (Cercul Militar National), Bragadiru Palace, the Romanian Atheneum, ARCUB, the Saint Iosif Cathedral, the Mihai Eminescu library in Iasi, the Calvin Reformed Church, the Babes Bolyai University, the Clothier Bation and Club Diesel in Cluj – Napoca.

Diana Ketler, Polina Leschenko, Florian Mitrea (piano), Alina Pogostkina, Boris Brovtsyn and Alexander Sitkovetsky (violin), Christian Nas and Răzvan Popovici (viola), Julian Arp, David Cohen, Bernhard Naoki Hedenborg and Erich Oskar Hütter (cello), Julian Arp, Nabil Shehata (double bass), Juliette Hurel (flute), Reto Bieri (clarinet), Nicholas Daniels (oboe), Higinio Arrue (fagot), Olivier Darbellay (corn), Marcelo Nisinman (bandoneon), Andu Dumitrescu (VJ) and the Casal Quartet.
