Soravia Group completes conversion of Starlight Suites hotel in Bucharest into offices
Soravia Group has completed the conversion of the former Starlight Suites hotel in Bucharest into offices. Located in the Metropolis Center, the new building called Metropolis Bravo has a leasable area of 5,500 sqm, according to the company. The investment amounted to some EUR 1 million.
Over 60 percent of Metropolis Bravo’s total office space is available for rent, and 35 percent was already leased.
“The hotel’s conversion was triggered by market conditions, considering the outlook for office space in the Bucharest real estate market is positive,” according to the company.
Metropolis Center currently has a total leasable area of 19,000 sqm, out of which 11,000 sqm are Class A office spaces in the Metropolis Alpha building, and 5,500 sqm are destined to Class B+ offices located in the Metropolis Bravo building. The complex also includes a retail area and restaurants. Metropolis Alpha is almost entirely leased.
