Spanish fashion retailer Inditex brings new brand to Romania

Spanish fashion retailer Inditex has just opened online stores for its Uterqüe brand in Romania, Poland and Italy. The brand has had no online or offline presence in Romania so far.

Uterqüe was launched in 2008 and offers fashion accessories, clothing, and leather garments. The brand will also be launched in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, and Slovakia in March, and in Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Slovenia in April.

Last week, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Sweden joined the 16 countries already hosting the online platforms of all of the Inditex Group's brands, namely Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe.

According to a statement from the group, all of the Inditex brands will be present online in each of the 28 EU Member States starting April. Following this expansion, the number of markets in which the Group will sell its products online will go up to 40 worldwide.

Inditex has 108 traditional stores in Romania under the Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, and Zara Home brands. The group plans to open 11 new stores this year, according to local Ziarul Financiar. The Spanish group had sales of close to EUR 300 million in 2015.
