Sports retailer Decathlon more than doubles profit in Romania
Sports retailer Decathlon saw a profit of EUR 3.3 million in Romania last year, more than double compared to 2014.
The retailer’s turnover reached EUR 91.2 million in 2015, up 32% over 2014, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. The company had an average of 432 employees last year, up from 335 in 2014.
Last year, Decathlon launched several store formats in four cities, namely Oradea, Targu Jiu, Targu Mures, and Bucharest.
“We want to continue our expansion in Romania,” said Eric Mazillier, Decathlon Romania country manager.
