Sorana Baciu, strategy director with the Romanian oil & gas company OMV Petrom, has left the company to open her own business consulting firm Acgenio, focusing primarily on small and medium enterprises, reports Ziarul Financiar.

Sorana Baciu has been director of strategy at OMV Petrom for the last seven years and is currently president of the local branch of Professional Women's Network.

Baciu is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE), where she earned a master's degree in international economic relations, but she also holds a master's degree in management from McGill University in Canada.

"I have always been drawn to challenges, so I decided to set up a consulting firm in this field," she says.
