Study: Romanians use smartphones to email, chat, listen and go out
The majority of Romanian smart phone owners download around 22 applications on their mobile phones, half the users keep them and a third use them on a daily basis, found a recent study by GfK Romania.
They usually use email, chat, instant messenger (76 percent), radio and music (60 percent), social networks and blogs (57 percent), games and apps for spending free time (54 percent).
The results of she study show that 70 percent of owners use their smartphone extensively, while half of them think that the design and fashionable appeal of the electronic product are important when deciding to buy.
Smartphone owners often check the internet when shopping, to find out about products and prices, while young people commonly use them to get information on going out.
The GFK study, carried out in April this year, asked respondents for evaluations of modern technology and highlighted the behavior of smart phone users. In Romania, 513 people, aged between 18 and 55, were questioned.
