Study: A third of private companies in Romania offer Easter bonuses this year
A third of the private companies in Romania will offer Easter bonuses to their employees this year, according to a study carried out by local online recruiting platform eJobs.
In general, 70% of the private companies in Romania are rewarding their employees with money or gift vouchers around holidays such as Christmas or Easter.
The survey was carried out between March 10 and April 10 on 302 private companies. Most of them, namely 47%, are small companies with less than 50 employees, while 30% have between 100 and 500 employees. Some 16% of respondent companies are active in IT, 10% in sales, 9% in manufacturing, 8% in education & training, and 7% in human resources.
Around two thirds of the companies that will reward their employees this Easter will offer money (65%), while the rest will give gift vouchers. Moreover, 12% are planning to give employees Easter products, 6% will offer extra days off, and 3% plan to give gifts for the employees’ kids.
In 59% of the cases, the Easter benefits will not go over RON 200 (some EUR 45) per employee this year. However, 15% of companies plan to offer benefits worth between RON 200 and RON 500 (over EUR 110), 6% will give benefits with values between RON 500 and RON 1,000 (EUR 220), and 12% with offer bonuses of over RON 1,000 to each employee.
The most common benefits among private companies that offer bonuses throughout the year are meal vouchers (70%), private health insurance (47%), and extra days off (37%).
