Supreme Court clears Romania's President of conflict of interest charges
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis won the trial with the National Integrity Agency (ANI) regarding his alleged incompatibility after the Supreme Court rejected ANI's appeal on Wednesday, January 22, reports local Mediafax. The decision is final.
The High Court of Cassation and Justice had also dismissed the appeal in Klaus Iohannis' conflict of interest.
Iohannis was accused of incompatibility when he represented the Sibiu City Hall at the General Shareholders Meetings of two local companies, Water Canal SRL and Markets SRL.
