Survey: Six in ten employees in Romania plan to change job in next year
About 63% of the participants to a survey carried out by local online recruiting platform eJobs plan to change their jobs in the next 12 months and only 3% say they will keep their current jobs for more than three years.
The persons most likely to prevent an employee from leaving the company are the direct manager, indicated by 29.1% of the respondents, team colleagues (20.9%) and the CEO (20.6%). Meanwhile, only 4% say the HR manager could be able to convince them to stay.
The main criteria by which employees choose their employer are the salary and benefits package (86%), the company’s reputation (84%), working hours (73%) and company flexibility (72%). About 16% of the employees said they also look for existing employees’ opinions about how the company takes care of their wellbeing at work.
The things employees appreciate the most during job interviews are relevant questions, quick feedback, details in the hiring ad and the recruiter’s ability to answer technical questions about the job responsibilities.
Most employees said they quit their previous job because they were not happy or motivated (52%), not appreciated (35.8%) or were unhappy with the salary (31.3%).
The survey was carried out on the eJobs platform in August-September 2018, on a sample of 1,300 respondents.
