Survey: Romania, still attractive for German investors
German companies still have confidence in Romania as a location for future investments, according to surveys carried out by the German Chambers of Commerce in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
Romania ranks 10th in CEE for its attractiveness as investment place. Countries such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Croatia rank higher.
The trust in Romania’s current Government has increased, according to representatives of the Romanian German Chamber of Commerce. Some 30% of the German companies, which took part in the survey, consider that the current economic situation has become better compared to 2015. Last year, only 15% of the respondents said the same.
The percentage of those who see positive perspectives for the following period in Romania is 49%, down from 56% last year.
According to the survey, German companies active in Romania are unhappy about judicial safety, tax administration, and public administration in general.
