Swedish investment fund Oresa takes over Romanian water bottling company

Romania’s Competition Council has approved the takeover of water bottling company and distributor La Fantana and the LaF group by Swedish investment fund Oresa Ventures.

Oresa, which sold La Fantana to Polish investment fund Innova Capital in 2007, has decided to buy back the company. La Fantana founder Cristian Amza still owns 8% of the company’s shares.

Oresa entered the local market in 1997 and has invested over EUR 100 million in companies such as LaFantana, Medicover, Credisson, Brewery Holdings, and Flanco. La Fantana provides water and coffee services for office buildings. Its main customers are in Romania and Serbia.

The company also took over the distribution of Lavazza coffee in Romania two years ago.
