Tax Administration inspects 4,800 wealthy Romanians
The Romanian Tax Administration ANAF will extend the control of large fortunes and currently targets 4,800 more individuals.
The institution launched the project in 2011 and it initially targeted 400 Romanians with wealth over EUR 20 million.
It has allotted 120 fiscal inspectors to control the 4,800 individuals and it already recruited 70 people in January, reports local Wall-street.ro.
ANAF will start the program in a few months after it instructs the new inspectors, develops the action plan and approves methods aimed to encourage voluntary compliance.
