tbi bank teams up with Romanian e-payment platform for consumer financing
The mobile-first challenger bank in South East Europe, tbi bank, announced that it has partnered with EuPlatesc.ro – one of the leading payment processors in Romania, working with almost 2,000 retailers.
Customers will have access to a portfolio of high-quality products through the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution, allowing people to pay in 4 interest-free instalments or apply for longer periods of financing with affordable interest rates, the bank said.
The statement comes after Swedish fintech Klarna announced it entered the Romanian consumer financing market through partnerships with three online retailers. Other similar financing solutions are already available on the Romanian market.
tbi bank puts this increased interest in offering such solutions to potential Romanian consumers in connection with households’ declining purchasing power.
