Andrei studied finance at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and started his journalism career in 2004 with Ziarul Financiar, the leading financial newspaper in Romania, where he worked for ten years, the last six of which as editor of the capital markets section. He joined the Romania Insider team in 2014 as editor and became Editor-in-Chief in 2016. In 2021, Andrei took over as Head of Content and then as Managing Partner of Romania Insider. He currently oversees the company's operations but he likes to stay up to date with everything relevant in business, politics, and life in Romania. Andrei lives with his family in the countryside in Northern Romania, where he built their own house. In his free time, he studies horticulture and tends to his family’s garden. Simona joined the Romania Insider team in 2015, first working on our travel guide in English and, later, writing features and interviews for Romania Insider. Since 2022, she has been Editor-in-Chief of Romania Insider. She holds a BA in Romanian and English and an MA in American Studies from the University of Bucharest and started her journalism career in 2003. Simona divides her time between her hometown Ploiești and Bucharest. While in Ploiești, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking long walks with the family dog. Irina holds a BA in Journalism and has been part of the Romania Insider team since its early days in 2011. Since 2022, she has been Deputy Editor-in-Chief. She likes to keep the Romania Insider readers informed every day. Irina reports on various topics, on a wide range of areas such as politics, social or entertainment. She also writes travel or leisure articles, as well as interviews. She splits her time between Sinaia, her hometown, and Bucharest. Radu has been writing for a decade as a copywriter, journalist, and academic writer. He has a BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Bucharest and was nominated for the European Press Prize in 2019. Radu also authored a book on campaign finance and corporate personhood in the United States. Books are Radu’s passion, particularly science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, and nonfiction. Iulian studied physics at the University of Bucharest, and he sees himself as a physicist in the broadest sense of the word. He also studied economics at Charles University in Prague and Central European University in Budapest, after a master’s program in business administration at Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. Since recently, he’s been exploring coding and data analysis for business and economics. As a freelancer, he worked for nearly two decades as an analyst for ISI Emerging Markets, Euromonitor International, Business New Europe, but also as a consultant for OMV Petrom and UkrAgroConsult. Iulian was part of the founding team of Ziarul Financiar. At Romania Insider, which he joined in 2018, he is reviewing the latest economic developments for the premium bulletins and newsletters.
