TEDx Bucharest organizes live webcast of TEDx Change hosted by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
TEDx Bucharest will host 100 TED fans for the live-streaming of TEDxChange "The Future We Make" event on September 20, at The Ark in Bucharest. The event will start at 17,30 hours with the live streaming, which will end at 19,00 hours with a networking session.
The event is organized by TEDx Bucharest in partnership with UN representatives in Romania. The event includes Romania on the list of the 30 countries in which such community gathering happen simultaneously with the conference. The 100 guests will have the chance to engage in conversations marking the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the eight Millennium Development Goals set out by the UN to tackle global issues such as poverty, child mortality and disease.
The speakers at TEDxChange are world-renowned activists and leaders of powerful organizations worldwide: Hans Rosling, Professor of International Health at Karolinska Institute and co-founder of the Gapminder Foundation, will convert international statistics into moving, interactive graphics representing global development trends; Graça Machel who is a renowned international advocate for women’s and children’s rights and who together with Nelson Mandela, Kofi Anan established The Global Elders - a group of world leaders convened to contribute their wisdom, leadership and integrity to tackle some of the world's toughest problems.
