Televoice launches Neura, the Romanian iPad 'killer' tablet. Check out price and specs

Romanian company Televoice will launch an iPad competitor product on July 25, a tablet running on Android 2.2. The tablet, called Neura, was deemed an iPad killer by the company's CEO Liviu Nistoran. 'Our tablet is an iPad killer as it offers more, to comparable dimensions and at a fair price. So it is possible for Romanians to launch a high technology product, with exceptional performances,' said Nistoran. The tablet can even recognize and play Flash content, unlike its rival iPad.

The Neura tablet will cost RON 1,500 (some EUR 355) for the wi-fi version, and RON 1,900 (some EUR 450) for the 3G version. The tablet will be out for sale in retail stores on July 25, but Televoice accepts pre-orders on its website.

Neura has a 24.6 centimeters screen, a 16GB SSD flash memory, which can be expanded by 32GB in Micro SD, and runs on a Nvidia Tegra 2, 1 Ghz Dual Core processor. The tablet will include content in Romanian, such as news aggregator, interactive TV, electronic newspaper and others apps from the Android market. Televoice also has the brand Evolio, a local IT&C brand which wa slaunched in 2007. It includes GPS products, netbooks, multimedia products and accessories. Televoice posted a turnover of EUR 3.5 million in 2010.
