RO Govt. launches tender for feasibility studies on Filiasi-Lugoj highway
The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, announced that on Monday, April 18, the tenders for the feasibility studies necessary for the four lots of the Filiaşi - Drobeta Turnu Severin - Domaşnea - Caransebeş - Lugoj high-speed roads were launched in the public procurement system (SEAP).
The route is part of the road connectivity corridor CC5 that links Bucharest to the western border of the country, providing the southern counties with access to the TEN-T core network.
The deadline for submitting bids is June 15.
"The duration for carrying out the feasibility studies for the four lots is between 18 months and 28 months," Sorin Grindeanu wrote on his Facebook page.
At the end of March, the National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR) cancelled the tender for the feasibility study necessary to construct the Craiova - Lugoj high-speed road, part of the "Autostrada Sudului." The route of the new road overlapped on the Craiova - Filiaşi section with that of the Craiova - Targu Jiu express road, a project contracted last year.
