Terrorist attacks foiled in Romania
George Maior, the head of the Romanian Intelligence Service SRI, recently said that terrorist attacks have been foiled in Romania, but that there isn’t currently any major threat to the population. Such attacks will be happening in Europe however, he added in an interview for local Ziare.com.
When asked if terrorist attacks were foiled in Romania, Maior answered: “Yes, I will not go into details. We acted preventively and we've accomplished our mission. There haven't been such events thanks to more subtle, more discrete actions that we took, including banishing people off the country, not allowing access for terrorist suspects and achieving a precise, informative picture of the risks we face."
