Thales seeks 1,000 software engineers in Romania by 2021

22 March 2019

French technology group Thales, already employing 300 engineers in Romania, opened on March 21 a new Engineering Centre and targets 1,000 employees in the country by 2021, Start-up.ro reported.

Thales operates in Romania in five areas: land transport, aeronautics, space, defense, and security. The Thales Group has also supplied the world's most powerful laser, which was installed and recently tested at full power at the ELI-NP facility in Magurele, near Bucharest.

Engineers at the new center in Romania will develop civil and military projects to meet Thales' needs. The Bucharest office will service Thales global customers and will cover all sectors where the company provides products and solutions, both civil and military: from rail, metro and air traffic management to land and naval defense, avionics, cybersecurity, and satellites.
