The European Space Expo arrives to Craiova, Romania, this April
The European Space Expo, an exhibition that shows people how space activities and applications have a direct impact on their everyday life, will be organized in Craiova, Romania, between April 19 and April 27.
The exhibition, to be held in Mihai Viteazul Square, presents key information on the European space programmes - from satellite navigation (Galileo and EGNOS) to Earth observation (Copernicus) in an entertaining way.
The Expo will stay open between 9:00 and 19:00 in weekdays and between 10:00 and 22:00 during the weekend. The entire schedule of the event can be found here.
Over 360 000 European citizens have now visited the European Space Expo, as it continues its tour of major European cities.
The European Space Expo has already visited the following cities: Copenhagen, Toulouse, Helsinki, Brussels, Vienna, Larnaca (Cyprus), London, Madrid, Budapest, Hannover, Warsaw, Bratislava, Dublin, Rome, Vilnius, Tallinn, Munich and Lisbon.
Upcoming cities include, apart from Craiova, Sofia, Bulgaria - 16 / 25 May 2014, Prague, Czech Republic - 7 / 15 June 2014, Ljubljana, Slovenia - 6 / 14 September 2014.
