The Guardian journalist stops in Romania 'Searching for the spirit of Vlad in Bucharest'
The Guardian travel writer Benji Lanyado, who was on a train trip from London to Istanbul, making videos from the places he has visited, has dedicated one to Bucharest and Romania. “Ceausescu's remains have been exhumed this week, but Benji Lanyado goes looking for another Romanian tyrant,” writes The Guardian as the video's intro.
The videos, made by Benji Lanyado and filmed by Alex Healey, are part of a wider travel series. The piece about Romania includes several references to Bucharest's architecture, a short stroll to Snagov by horse and carriage and references to Vlad the Impaler, whose tomb the journalist found in a church near Bucharest.
