American carmaker Ford started selling the new generation of its legendary Ford Mustang model in Europe, on January 20, 2015. It’s for the first time after more than 50 years that the Ford Mustang can be ordered and configured by customers in Europe, including Romania, Ford announced.

Prices in Romania start at EUR 35,000, VAT included.

The new Mustang is available only at Ford dealerships branded FordStore. In Romania there are currently two such locations: BDT and Tiriac Auto, both in Bucharest.

The model is sold in two forms for the European market – EcoBoost and GT. The EcoBoost version comes equipped with a 2.3-litre engine which can generate 314 horsepower, while the GT has a 418 hp 5-litre V8 engine.

In terms of transmission, clients can choose either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic one.

The Ford Mustang is available either as a “Coupe” or as a “Convertible”. The basic configuration includes 19-inch alloy rims, dual zone air conditioning, leather seats and a SYNC2 command system with 8-inch touch screen display and vocal controls.
