The Romanian Ministry of Justice's budget approved, DNA’s budget amendment rejected
The Ministry of Justice's and The Public Ministry's budgets for 2015 were approved by the joint budget commissions of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, but the amendment to supplement the National Anticorruption Directorate's (DNA) budget was rejected, reports local Wall-street.ro.
The Ministry of Justice's budget for 2015 amounts to EUR 603 million, down 21.7% compared to 2014. The Public Ministry's 2015 budget is EUR 158.4 million, down 31.9% from 2014. The amendment to supplement DNA's budget by EUR 3 million was rejected and DNA will have a EUR 22 million budget, up EUR 2 million from the EUR 20 million 2014 budget.
