This year’s edition of Sibiu International Theater Festival will bring theater and dance performances, circus and music shows, workshops and exhibitions to the central Romanian city of Sibiu between June 7 and June 16.

The program of the 2013 edition of the festival will feature The Sasha Waltz & Guests Company’s dance show, four circus shows performed by Les Parfaits Inconuus, the C!RCA company, the Kallo Collective Company and the Fadunito Company and two play-writing workshops with writers Sikorska-Miszczuk and Esteve Soler. The winner of three Ubu Prizes for Theatre, the Lithuanian director Eimuntas Nekrosius will present as a national premiere, in Sibiu, his company’s newest production – Divina Comedie, based on the poem by Dante Alighieri.

The 20th anniversary of the Festival in Sibiu corresponds with Romania’s accession to the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie. Also, France is the guest country of honor at this year’s edition of the festival.

For ten days, over 2,500 artists and producers from all over the world will present 350 events organized in 60 venues from Sibiu, including public squares, churches, historical sites and pubs, as well as in the traditional theater halls.
