This year’s EUROPAfest competition in Bucharest has EUR 300,000 budget
The 2011 edition of EUROPAfest, an international music event dedicated to blues, jazz, pop and classical music that takes place in the Romanian capital city Bucharest, has a budget of EUR 300,000, according to Luigi Gargeos, manager of jmEvents, which organizes the event. He also said that the event's budget is smaller compared to other similar events in Europe. The total value of the prizes in the festival will reach EUR 17,000 this year.
EUROPAfest will be held between May 7 and 12 this year. A concert dedicated to Europe Day will take place on the opening day. Two competitions, Bucharest International Jazz Competition for jazz and Jeunesses International Music Competition for classical music, will take place between May 8 and 12.
EUROPAfest Gala will be held on May 13 and participants will be able to watch the winners of the two competitions performing on stage. The ticket prices have yet to be announced. You can read more about the festival here.
