Thousands of high school graduates flock to become students of Economic Studies Academy in Bucharest
Almost 5,800 high school graduates applied to become students at the Economic Studies Academy (ASE) in Bucharest in the first two days of the admission period, according to official data from ASE.
Students accompanied by their parents formed long queues in front of the main buildings of the ASE in order to enlist to the country’s main economic university.
ASE has 5,374 available seats, half of which are subsidized by the state and the other half are tax seats.
The highest competition is for the Economic Informatics Faculty, with 787 registered candidates for 292 available seats. For the Economic Cybernetics Faculty, 426 people applied for 200 seats.
Students are also interested in the Accounting Faculty, where there were 704 applicants in the first two days, fighting for 500 seats. At the Finance and Banks Faculty there were 663 applications for a total of 443 seats. More than 600 students also applied for the Business Administration Faculty, and 570 hope to get a seat at the Economics and International Business Faculty.
The admission period at the ASE ends on July 18.
